How does the NBA playoff predictor work?

The bracket starts from the live playoff picture: seeds 1-6 in each conference plus the Play-In Tournament for 7-10. You pick the winner and length of every series down to the NBA Finals, or let the simulator choose using each team's record and net rating. Your picks are stored in the link you copy, so you can share or revisit the bracket.

How does the simulator pick winners?

Each team gets a strength score from its winning percentage and average point differential. For every series the stronger team wins more often, not always, so two simulations can differ, just like the playoffs.

When do the 2027 NBA playoff seeds become final?

When the regular season ends on April 11, 2027. Until then the bracket here follows the standings; after the Play-In Tournament the 7th and 8th seeds are set and the real bracket appears on the Playoffs page.

Can I predict the NBA Finals winner only?
